Hey, I'm Dr. Katie

I was born and raised in Galesville, WI — and I’ve wanted to be a chiropractor for as long as I can remember. When I was little, my dad suffered a cervical disc herniation and would take me along to his chiropractic appointments. I didn’t fully understand what was happening at the time, but I understood this: he was getting his life back. Watching his healing journey through chiropractic care left a mark on me that never went away. That was it. I was hooked.

After earning my Exercise Science degree from UW–La Crosse, I headed to the fountainhead of chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic, where I graduated summa cum laude in 2015. But graduation wasn’t the finish line, it was just the beginning!

I’ve completed hundreds of hours of additional training through the Gonstead Methodology Institute because I believe mastery matters. I continue to attend seminars and collaborate with other Gonstead doctors because sharpening my skills is part of my responsibility to my patients. I’m also Webster Certified, which allows me to provide safe, specific, and gentle chiropractic care for pregnant moms. Caring for expecting mothers and newborns is one of my absolute favorite things!

My Real Life (Because It's Full)

Outside the office, I’m wife to Kyle (the guy who can literally move mountains with Dirt Pro Excavating) and mom to Rylee, Bowen, and Kade. If you hang around the office long enough, you’ll probably see at least one of them running through it. We also have three golden retrievers — Tank, Zoey, and Bailey — so yes, our house is loud, busy, and chaotic:) And, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Gymnastics Is My Other Love

I serve as President of the Board for Blue Angels Gymnastics Club and volunteer coach each week. Pouring into young athletes and helping grow a program that serves families across our communities fills my cup in a big way. Watching kids build confidence, strength, grit, and discipline is powerful.

And in the office? I LOVE working with athletes. Helping them stay on the field, floor, mat, or court. Helping them recover faster. Helping them prevent injuries before they happen. There is nothing better than watching a kid walk in stronger and more confident than the week before.

Motherhood Changed Everything

Becoming a mom deepened my belief in chiropractic in a way no textbook ever could. And honestly? It also gave me a whole new level of empathy. Because let’s be real — motherhood is beautiful… and exhausting. It’s fulfilling… and overwhelming. It’s the best thing ever… and sometimes makes you feel like you’re one spilled cup of milk away from pulling your hair out.

When I’m not adjusted and my nervous system isn’t balanced, I feel it everywhere. I’m less patient. I snap quicker. The “stress in my shoulders” turns into tension in my tone. I feel flustered at home and distracted at work. And I know I’m not the only one.

Now as a mom, I love connecting with other moms who share the same struggles — the mental load, the overstimulation, the constant juggling. One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is helping them regulate their nervous systems so they can: Be more patient with their kids, maybe even a little more patient with their husbands, feel more at ease at home and at work, and stop living in that constant “fight-or-flight” mode.

Chiropractic isn’t just about neck pain or headaches. It’s about helping your body shift out of survival mode and back into regulation. Because when your nervous system is calm, you show up differently. More grounded. More present. More joyful. And that changes everything — not just for you, but for your whole family.

My Philosophy (No Settling Allowed)

Too many people settle for “fine.” No pain? Must be healthy, right? Not exactly. Health is built intentionally — through habits. Nutrition. Movement. Mindset. Recovery. And a nervous system that’s functioning the way it was designed to.

Your nervous system controls everything. If it’s not communicating well, nothing else works the way it should.

My job isn’t to “fix” you. My job is to remove interference so your body can do what it was brilliantly designed to do: heal and perform.

You’re the boss. It’s your body. Your goals. Your future. I’m here to guide, educate, adjust specifically, and partner with you so you can function at your most optimal level.

I am so grateful that my career allows me to pour into what matters most — my patients, youth athletes, this incredible community, and my family. If you’re here reading this, I can’t wait to meet you and hear your story. Let’s help your body do what it was made to do.
